This was one of the great wines I had during my visit to the Yadkin Valley wine bar in Charlotte international Airport. Since it was a tasting I wasn't able to get that freshly opened bottle smell that I do ever so love when opening wine, but I did still get a great smell none the less from my glass (you know the place you're supposed to get that aroma from, thoroughly at least). The aroma I did get from this was pretty pleasant with a light oaky smell with a little spice to it. As for its taste, you kinda get a nice little hint of spice that carried over a bit from the smell of this nice Chardonnay. You also get a very nice smooth buttery taste to it that is of course that classics taste that look for in a nice Chardonnay. Now, I had this at a tasting so wasn't eating anything with it but I do believe that it would go quite nicely with maybe some chicken or a nice pesto pasta dish. So, if you are a fan of Chardonnays then you should really give this wine a try as it worth far more then the price you pay for this wine. It is a great wine that is from a great region in North Carolina , so please give this a try - you wont regret it.
If you would like to purchase this wine you can get it direct from the vineyard here. Remember to make sure they can ship to your state.
