An interesting Merlot and one that I did enjoy quite a bit, and am sad that my trip to this area is so short lived. When you open a bottle of this merlot you get a really nice aroma of what I can only describe as Jam (which being a big fan of jam here was very nice). As for the taste you start to understand that really nice jam smell since you get these subtle hints of berries and also a bit of herbs. Personally I had this as a sipping wine with some friends and without any food, but if you wanted to have something with it I might suggest a nice light tomatoes pasta or maybe some pesto (dubious on that one). So if you are a fan of merlot or light fruity wines then I would say you should give this a try, and even if not why not give it a try anyways (how will you know you don't like till you try if after all).
